Hello and welcome to the podcast. Today we're going to be talking about aligning business goals with morale integrity. Now, the reason why we're going to be looking at this today is because if you've been listening to the podcast from day one all the way up to now, or if you've been listening to my radio show, which started in January of 2025. So yeah, I'm celebrating one year as a broadcaster. So you've been listening to the show.
We've been going hard about money, money, money, money, money. And I haven't been talking about, OK, well, I have been talking about some of the moral aspects related to business, but I've not been doing so in a very conscious and direct way. And so because of that, while we were coming up with the list of topics for 2026, that's for the radio show. Because the radio show is really planned, man. It's really structured.
So it's been a good experience because, you know, when I make the podcast, what I do basically is, you know, questions I receive from you guys or questions that I tackle when consulting, coaching and training my clients. Those are the things I talk about over here on the podcast. But man, for the radio show, ha, director will say, OK, end of year is coming up where? Where's the list of programs for the year? And I'm thinking like, you guys should calm down now.
Like no room for freestyling here. But anyway, that's how it is in radio. No freestyling. You gas plan everything. So we had to plan ahead for the year 2025. So when coming up with the list of topics, we decided to throw in some ethical stuff there, you know, because well, of course, you know, the, it's a, it's a, it's a not-for-profit radio station and it's run by Catholics. And so, you know, now not only God, but Mammon, you know, you not only gain the world, but you try not to lose your soul.
So I'm going to throw in some mythical issues. And as as I usually do over here on the podcast, whenever we have an interesting day on the radio, I come over here and I share the good stuff so that you guys can be carried along because not everybody is based in Abuja or Nasawa or Niger states, you know, all these close areas that can catch the radio signal. So that's what we're talking about, aligning business goals with moral integrity.
Or by the way, this is your first time listening to the show. I'm your host. My name is Tavishima Ayede, I'm a former lawyer turned business consultant and I always try to solve business problems from a sales and business development perspective. So if you like what you hear over here on the podcast, then subscribe on Spotify, YouTube, Apple or any player of your choice. And if you'd love to connect with me, you can call or send me a text message or a WhatsApp message on 08064662140.
Now before we get into the meat of the topic today again, which is how to blend your business goals with moral integrity, I want to remind you guys that too many intrapreneurs fail because they start with the wrong business idea in the 1st place. And because of that, I've come up with a training on how to solve this problem in three easy steps. So #1 if you take part in the new training that I've come up with, we're going to help you pick a winner from your business ideas because a lot of you've been reaching out to me.
You guys have 3-4 ideas. In fact, some people have 5678910 ideas. So let's pick a winner because if we pick a business idea that is going to lose from the outset, then of course, you know that wahala day. So after we pick a winner, we're going to figure out how to validate the demand. We want to show that there's demand. We want to show that people actually do desire this product or service. Then after that, we're going to come up with the selling system so that you can get customers,
so that you can convert customers so that you can get them to come back and buy again. And also so that you can get referrals, because that is the whole point of a sales system. We don't just want to collect 1,000,000 from somebody today, we want the person to come back in six months or in one year and give us another 750K and maybe the year after that give us 850. Maybe the year after that give us 2:50. And then a couple of years in between, refer some of their friends or their associates so that as each person enters,
we'll just be here one M 75851.22.5. That's the way to do it. So if you take part in this training, this is what we're going to try and achieve. Look at your business ideas. Let's pick a winner. Let's validate demand. Let's create a selling system. So stop juggling 3 or 4 ideas without making a single cover. Just go ahead, call me, send me a WhatsApp message, send me a text on 08064662140, and let's get your business moving now.
Speaking of getting your business moving, we're talking about aligning business goals to business with moral integrity. He actually started together. It's for the sake of getting your business moving because, you know, there's no secret. I'm a greedy bastard. I like money. But The funny thing is acting with integrity, with moral integrity, actually, it's one of the easiest ways to move your business forward. It's like this guy, what's his name, Gary Vaynerchuk, likes to say that being nice is a recipe for business success.
Now people don't believe that and I understand why, especially people in my own generation, because with the kind of movies that we grew up with during our time, you know, Schwarzenegger movies, you know, all those kind of action movies, martial art movies, what else? You know, some Wall Street movies, things like that. You know, the impression that we get is that if you're a soft guy, you know, if you're a soft guy, life will summer you.
If you are a soft woman, you'll be taken advantage of. So therefore, all of us want to grow up, want to be sharp, want to be quick, you know, on the move. If there's a way to cut corners, especially since why Nigel will cut it. It's not as if we're killing anybody. That's the way we look at it. But actually being nice and acting with moral integrity is the way to actually grow your business. So like I said, we're tackling this because, you know, new year.
So not just money, let's also look at morals. But first of all, let's look at this whole thing about business goals. Now, for those of you who are long time business of broadcast, you already know, but of course there are some people who this is their first time discovering the show. So I bet you guys just be patient. Let me bring them up to speed small. Now the first thing that I'd like to those of you who are newbies who are listening for the first time, welcome, welcome to the club, welcome to the family.
After this, subscribe. So yeah, First off, business goals. Now what is the goal of a business? Now some of you are going to say that the goal of a business is to give somebody money, which is what I thought a couple of decades ago. I thought the whole point of a business is to give somebody some cold hard cash so that you flex. So excuse me because as I today as our 2D, what's today's date? So let me check as our today's date, 29th of January 2026, the National Grid has failed the second time.
Can you imagine? We just started 2026 and then in January twice the grid has already failed again. So those people who are totally reliant on Nepal see the rubbish that they are facing. So the only way out of these rubbish is you guys. You take care of yourself. I remember when we were young and younger because I'm still a young man. When we're younger, living in Lagos, things are not too smooth, you know, for mum, see when we entered Lagos, remember back then the last time when Michael during the holidays cause the National Grid collapse again in December, but we're just gisting in the house because you know, now mom, see how solar and so we're just gisting.
So mom, so it was like, remember a time when we used to use candle? I was like, oh, that's true. I remembered there was a time when we used to use candle in the house. We didn't have gem. We didn't have a better pass, my neighbor and we and we lived it. We slummed it. In fact, I remember one time my my sis Moising remember one time she was reading the meals and bones. So excuse me, you know, now meals and bones, all these are useless, trashy romantic novels.
So she was reading meals and bones now and then somehow she fell asleep and then she didn't put the candle on the floor. That's how the candle fell on the bed and then blew fire. If I what we did was we now of course we come down the fire. What we now did was we took the mattress, we carried A Styrofoam and we broke Styrofoam. Then we put Styrofoam in the hole because the thing burnt a hole in the mattress. Then we now just covered it up.
We turn the mattress upside down. So that's it, problem resolved. And so that's a good old days. So eventually now things go well for mom saying we're able to buy a diesel generator I think was like 5 point something KV and he used to carry the whole house. Then we were leaving generator that can carry TV carry AC carry microwave, carry ion carry everything like that's why we started living the life. So where was I? So the purpose of a business is to give somebody money, wealth,
so that if you're in a harsh environment like Niger, you can take care of yourself. If Nepal misbehave, you can buy diesel generator. If you're tired of you can buy inverter, if you're tired of National Grid collapsing for one week because of the inverted in charge, you go ahead and upgrade and buy solar. Or if Nigeria is messing you up too much, you say, you know what, my family, I've had enough for this rubbish. And then you just pay the American embassy.
How much is it? And then you just relocate everybody one time. By the way, that's an option. There's a family, should I say family friend. OK, not really family friend, but I know of the family. So that's how the props you wanted. The guy just works. The guy had a few properties in Abuja. So the guy sold it and got a few billions. And that's how everybody don't relocate, they've gone, they're tired of Niger. So there's some also say that's the purpose of a business, cold hard cash so that we can look at Nigeria and say what the hell F
you and then we'll sort ourselves out. So that some of us used to say the purpose of a business is cash. Then there's some people who say the purpose of a business is personal development. I'm entering into business because I want the challenge, I want to grow, I want to be a better person, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. My own opinion. Anybody who will tell you that that's bubbles of a business. The person likes money, but the person is shy.
The person doesn't want you to think they're greedy. That's why there's they're talking like that, but don't mind them, they're greedy just like us. OK, so and then the other people who say that the purpose of a business is to create social impact or environmental impact, and of course, you know my own opinion there. Excuse me, Those people who say these kinds of things is because they are shy, they're greedy, but they don't want you to look down upon them.
As for me and my house, we all now agreed with our food chest, we want money. So those are the reasons why people would have said, we start a business, we started a business for money, We started a business so that we can grow as a person or expand our personal influence. And then we start the business so that we can have social and environmental impact. So those are some of the ideas that I grew up with when I was a much younger guy because I'm,
I'm still young. I'm still fresh. If you see me. Fine boy. So yeah. But then eventually I came across a book that was written by Peter Drucker. I can't remember which of the books because the guy has written a few, you know, four or five, at least the four or five that I know. One of them is considered the classic. I think now it is maybe on business management or something. So in the Peter Drocker book now he tackled this question, what is the goal of a business?
And then he said the goal of a business is to create a customer. And I said, what does this guy know? And I closed the book. Bam. I said this guy is not serious. And then I went about my life. But then eventually I started to reason it and I was like, OK, I guess this guy is correct. So I went back and opened the book again and said, let me see what Drucker, old man Drucker has to say. And Peter Drucker, he actually does have the correct perspective.
He says that the purpose of the business is to create a customer. I say, OK, so no problem. Well let me keep reading. Let us get educate me. So Peter Drucker points out that it is only when you create a customer that you now begin to enjoy all those other things. So if you're a greedy bastard like me, it is when you create a customer, it is when you find market that you get money. And you can upgrade from candle to diesel generator there from diesel generator to inverter,
then from inverter to solar and then from solar to you know what, let me leave this this country, let me just go to Canada or whatever. So it is only when you find market and you get a customer that you get the money. And then Drug also pointed out that it is only when you find a customer, when you create a customer, when you find market, it is only then that with the money they give you. Well, first of all, you need the customer to to go through this whole process of personal development in the 1st place because there's some customers that you get along with.
Then there's some customers that you quarrel with. Then you have to build a team. So you have to learn interpersonal, you need to learn relationship skills, you need to learn team building skills, you need to learn what else, personal finance, management, self management, you know all those things that we need to learn. So but it's only when we have a customer, we can do all these things. Because if you have this idea,
let's say you like renewables, you like solar, but it's just an idea, you're just inquiring around with the idea until you actually set up the business and start selling stuff. You won't be in the position where you actually have to start interacting with customers, building a team, and then coming up with all, learning how to manage people and then all of that. So we actually need to get the customer first before we won't get into this whole thing of personal development, Then personal influence.
Now in this part of the world, which kind of personal influence do you want to have? If you don't have money, you want to be a poor man and have personal influence? Come on, let's be serious. So you have to get the money first. Then you now get personal influence. Then the same thing for the social and the environmental impact. These things cost money, but you have to create a customer first. The customer will give you the money.
You can now use that money for social impact and environmental impact. And by the way, for those of you business owners who are engaged in the charitable space, God continue to bless all of you because every other week we keep running in, I keep, I personally keep running into initiatives where you will see maybe you know, like a, a business person who is doing well and the person will go and drop something for orphanages.
Then my former business partner was in the house a couple of days ago and he spoke about one particular guy who owns a Genco in Nigeria that's a a power generating company, the people who sell electricity to NEPA. And he said that those people that they've hammered that are doing very well, very fine. It's a very popular family. You will know them because there's a politician in that family, There's a musician in that family.
So you will know them. Those of you on social media, you know who I'm talking about. And the guy, because he's from the same place as them, he mentioned how the patriarch, that's the grandfather, the person who was the generating company, the one who is the father of the politician, the politician, the musician, the senator, the said that that particular guy that in their area, where they comes from at any given point in time, the guy pays the school fees of 3000
people. Can you imagine that one man paying the school fees of 3000 individuals? But that is good. That is good. It's it's inspiring. So me too, when I arrive, I don't know if I'll pay for as many as 3000, but anyway, yeah, environmental and social impact. Yes, it's, it's a worthy cause. It's very good. But sure, Peter Drucker is saying that first, first you will get the customer, the customer will give you money, then all those other things will flow.
And then I saw that. OK, Peter Drucker is correct. And because of this, I will recommend, if you see any of Peter Drucker's books, you know, go ahead and read, read. It's an easy read. And then the thing I like about American academics is that they write in a very straightforward way. You don't have to, you don't need PhD to understand what it is that they are. They are saying so, yeah. So business goals. And since it's about creating a customer and you know, our business goals will always be focused around, you know,
awareness, conversions, revenue, you know, things like that. So anyway, just know that money is not bad. It's not bad at all that we all need this money. And yes, our business goals when it comes to creating the customer, yes, we'll be around financial metrics and financial incentives and things like that. Now, Peter Drocker says that to achieve these goals, we need to do 2 business functions. The business has to do marketing, the business has to do innovation.
We already know what innovation is. So let's let's flash you that one. So what we do over here on the podcast is we talk about marketing. So, so excuse me. So for those of you who are listening to the podcast for the first time, this is the background, you know, I guess which we're having this conversation. And also, please do not forget that too many entrepreneurs fail because they start the wrong business. They have the wrong idea for a business.
And so that's the reason why for my latest training, we've come up with this program on how to pick the right business in three easy steps. We're going to pick a winner, We're going to validate the business should have this market demand and then we're going to create a selling system so that you can have recurring revenue. So, so training that I'm just rolling out and if you are interested, call, send me a text message or a WhatsApp message on 08064662140 so that we can get your business moving.
Yeah, I don't have any sponsor of the podcast, so I might as well sponsor the podcast myself. All right, where are we now? Moral integrity. So MMM, OK, well I like to define things. So moral comes from the root word Morris moral Morris and which means customary ways of doing things. And of course. No matter the custom or the culture, people are concerned about doing what is right or what is wrong. At least that was the traditional way of thinking about things.
You organize your life based on what is right, what is wrong. So this new thing that people are talking about, like, oh, there's no right and there's no wrong. You just do you be your truest authentic self so long as you're not killing anybody like that. Absolute BS. But this is a business broadcast, so I'm not going to start talking philosophy here. So yeah, customarily people are concerned with right or wrong. Now, integrity, of course, comes from the root word integral, You know, I can't remember, but the sense of togetherness or the sense of coherence.
So the idea of moral integrity is this. When you have a system of right and wrong, when you have a system of good and bad, you want to make sure that you are aligning yourself perfectly with that system. You don't pick and choose. So if it is right, it is right, do it. If it is wrong, it is wrong, don't do it. And so moral integrity in marketing, because remember, we're talking about the business functions here, marketing and innovation, we use that to get customers.
Those are the main functions of a business. So if we want to align our business goals with moral integrity, the question now becomes how do we bring moral integrity into the business function of marketing? So let me see. OK, Yeah. So that's it. Let me go straight into some ideas. I got tempted on it to explore some of the philosophy behind good and bad or right or wrong. But let me not bore you guys. Excuse me because it's already been 20 minutes.
So there are some, there's lots of ideas about how you can integrate moral integrity into your marketing, but I just picked some very basic ones. Now, the first one that I discussed on the radio show. And then I want to hint over here now that this idea of radical transparency or honesty, and what I mean when I say radical transparency and honesty, I just mean don't mislead anybody. The thing that you can do, say you can do it.
The one that you cannot do, say you cannot do. In fact, from a sales point of view, the traditional thing that sales people do actually is if you're in front of somebody you've had you've done the need analysis conversation, you understand what it is they want, but deep down you know that your product or service cannot do it. What you do is you sell the person. Oh, I'm sorry, I can't do that, but I can refer you to my client, my customer, my friend,
buyer and buyer will take care of you. You now give them buyers phone number. Then quickly you now want to call buyer before they call and say, hey, I sent you somebody's phone number, I beg you, listening clicks give me 10%. So traditionally that's what we do from a sales perspective. So instead of giving them something. That you know. It kind of helps, but 100% will satisfy them. Just refer this thing and then collect your 10% or your 5% or your 20%.
For those of you who are greedy. By the way, 20% is on the high side, 20% is on the high side. Let's be real, if you call buyer and you tell him that give me 20%, buyer will have to now raise his own price on the product or the service. By the time buyer raised it, he will now be uncompetitive and then the person will say you're too expensive and then move on to somebody else. So let's be decent human beings here please.
We're all Nigerians, all of you that collect 20%, like what's your problem? 10% is OK, OK, so you tell by your 10%, he gives you the 10%, everybody's happy, the customer is happy, buyer is kind of happy because his profit margin has gone down, but SHA is a deal that he didn't have before. And then you, you're happy you didn't quite get the money you expected, but you have some change in your pocket. You know, you buy fuel and then you pay for Internet all.
Right, so. Radical transparency and honesty don't mislead anybody. Then also pricing. Let your pricing be clear. No hidden fees. The reason why I remember this one right is because for one of my clients last year who is in the solar space, his business is they do solar installations and inverter batteries, alternative forms of power basically. So one of their sales people was talking to a woman and Duma was considering 2 quotes and she thought that my client's company was the better one because yes,
actually it it is the better company. Because my friend has been in the business, the solar business for 20 something years. And his partner is an engineer who also has close to 30 years experience in this space. And then they have technical staff who handle all the installations who have on average 17 years of experience in this space. They also have a a sales engineer who also had, I think like 12 years experience in the space, share their experienced crew and they always make sure that they buy the best equipment possible.
Now my my customer, well, now my friend started off as a customer. He prefers as far as he's concerned, the best solar equipment, the best panels, the best everything come from Germany. But you know, of course now when you're buying from the EU, you go cost, you know, Nigerians sometimes they don't like to buy expensive stuff. So because of that, he's constrained to get the regular suppliers that other people, other people get, but left to him who'd rather just deal with the Germans alone and bring in correct equipment.
So anyway, basically what I'm just trying to say is that the guy, his company definitely was the better one and the woman admitted was the was the better one, but she said, look, you know what, honestly speaking, I'm in a tight situation right now. You guys are asking me for 12:12 AM. This other person is asking me for 10. So let me just go with this 10. So the sales engineer, you know, tried to make something happen,
but the gap was still too big. So of course we are right. That is best that she goes with the other person, if truly that's what it is she can afford because you know, we don't skimp on quality. We don't, we don't keep on quality, we don't skimp on after sales service and all these sorts of things. So we just had to say bye bye. However, the. Sales guy called her back later on. Or say I'm not fine now. I hope those guys took care of you very well.
And woman was bitter. This is why she was bitter. She was bitter because she was looking at 2 quotes. One is 12 M, another one is 10 M In woman's mind, the difference is how much is 2 M Happy? 2 million. So she tells the other person, well, let's go. And then she gives them their 10 million complete. Then after she has transferred the 10 million complete, after she has transferred it, and then when they show up, then I'll start saying, ah, Madam, it's like we'll buy cable.
It's like we'll buy this. It's like we'll buy that, we'll buy this. And of course DOMA was angry like you. People did not tell me this in the beginning. Somebody else was saying. 12 you people said 10 I went for you because I thought 10 is 10 so by. The time we'll. Buy cable, we'll buy this we'll buy a bracket, we'll buy, we'll buy, we'll buy. That's how everything now came up past 12 and of course that's the reason why I do my was upset because you know, if it was like that I would have just stuck with my first choice who were giving me 12 in the 1st place instead of going for you.
But I didn't think you were as as a Ganga as these other people and. Then you collect 10. And then all these extra extra add, add, add, add, you know, came up past these other people. Now it's something that. Nigerian business owners do stop it, stop it. This is the reason why people don't trust us Nigerian business people. This is the reason why. Because our. Yes is never yes. Our no is never no. We don't do. Anything straight, they will always be comma, they will always be K leg.
Say it as it is. If you're somebody that has been engaging in this sort of practice, stop it. This is the reason why when you give misleading claims when your pricing structure is not clear. You are throwing. Distrust into the whole situation. If the person has already given you money, I can assure you they will never give you money again. Now this is the sad thing. Whether in America or in the UK or in Nigeria and Australia,
unfortunately this is just human nature. When people are happy, they don't tell too many people. When people are upset, they tell a whole lot of people. Now there's been some research that has been done, not in Nigeria, of course. I think in the UK, is it 6? Is it one to six? Like if somebody is happy, they will tell one other person. What if they're angry? They will tell 6 people. There's even 1 country where. I think is even as high as, is it 10 or 12?
Like if they're happy to tell one or two people or if they're angry, they will tell like 12 people. In fact, I've even seen this thing happened in my own front. There was, I can't remember this restaurant and I would even call that himself. It's not good, but somebody was thinking about going there. My wife was talking to her friends and in my very presence she told them is it this place? Never go there. Don't take your money and go there.
My wife was talking to four of her friends and my wife proceeded to say, you know, this is what happened. This is what happened. Was like this was like this was like this. And of course, our friends, you don't mean it. Thank you. That's how I would have gone there and I would have wasted my money. It's just human nature. When we go somewhere, we have a wonderful experience. My wife doesn't call back and call up four of our friends and say no, you don't believe what happened.
We went to this place. It was wonderful. It was masterful. We have the nice feeling. My wife doesn't call up for people to say go to this place, but meanwhile she's just with four of her friends. One of them mentions one place. Possibly we've had a negative experience there. And what does my wife say? My wife says, look, don't try it. Don't go and waste your money now. It's not of my wife is wicked. It's just a normal human tendency.
This lady. That's had this nasty experience, I can assure you if she is somewhere and somebody wants to buy solar and they remotely mention this other person's name, what do you think she will do? Especially if it's her friend, She will say, wait, what name was that? Wait, let me check my phone. He's the same guy. This is what they did to me. And she would tell that her friend. And that is how the news starts to. Travel and that is how our our reputation starts being compromised.
It's not worth it because remember I said here at the beginning when I was talking about how people's businesses feel and. Why we need to create a? Selling system, because the whole point of the selling system is we want to collect money from somebody today, we want the person to buy tomorrow or next tomorrow, and then we want the person to refer other people. So if you're in solar sales, it's not just that you want to collect 12 million from somebody today, you want the person to pay 12 million this year.
Then in three years when they want to upgrade to lithium battery, we want them to call us again so that we can make, you know, 506100K. Then if they decide that God has blessed them and they're tired of 10 kva, then I want to upgrade to 40 kva so that, you know, when the children are at home during the holidays, you know, the whole village can come and visit or whatever. We want them to come and meet us so that we'll now get that contract again.
You see how it works, You see where the good money comes from. Then apart from. That when? Because, you know, as people who grow, as their pockets expand, their social circle also grows. So when she's still at the level of 10 million, we want her to refer us to one or two other people who are, you know, 10,000,008 million, 7 million. You, you understand as her, as her circle begins to grow and improve, as she gets to the level of my solar system of 4050
million, we also want her to be referring us to other people who are, you know, 503045, you know. That is how it works when you do not. Do radical transparency. You are messing up your sales. So even if you're. Not going to be honest because you're a child of God. Be honest because we want good money in our pockets. And that's the whole point of creating. A selling system. That's the reason why I should reach out. To me, actually, even if you have too many ideas, you don't know which one to pick.
Yeah, come, I'll help you pick a winner. We'll help you validate business demand. But for the rest of you who don't have this problem, reach out so we can help you create a selling system that focuses you on the right things. So for those of you who work with me, when I say never lie, it's not because I'm doing holy. Holy. It's because we. Don't tell lies. We don't have to struggle to remember what it is that we've said before.
It'll be easier to live. Up to what it is that we promised, it'll be easier for us to get repeat business, It will be easier for us to get referrals. And then we'll be. Able to walk around confidently so that. We're not afraid. Of running into somebody. That bride that I told you guys about from I think I mentioned it, one of the podcast episodes last week, the bride in Katuna that I messed up her wedding. The only bride I ever disappointed, you know, if I see her in public, you know, me and her husband, we made-up pretty quick, pretty quickly because you know, we're guys, you know,
I apologize to them and everything. Their parents didn't get involved. So, you know, as per on the man level. Now when we see like, hey, my guy, how far you know? But to be honest, you know, if I, if I see his wife, it will, it will be kind of awkward. The last time I saw them was small awkwardness. We're trying to make money. Yes, but let's deal with a clean conscience. So that we can get repeat business. Repeat refer and referrals and also apart from that so that we can work in public freely.
So if we see somebody will greet them well, when we leave, somebody will say you see that guy now my guy, be that. If you need XYZ, call that guy. He's a straightforward person. That's the goal. Trust facilitates sales. So let's be radically honest, radically transparent in what it is that we do. Then of course. On the airwaves, I also discussed some things about vulnerable audiences, how to deal, or rather how not to deal with vulnerable audiences, how not to manipulate children.
When it comes to selling unsuitable products for children, then also unsuitable investments for the elderly. Because since you know the elderly, you know, they're not sharp and they're not up to date with technology and things like that. So there are people, somebody called on the radio show to ask me about an investment product. The person was talking about an investment products that was AI something, something, something.
So I had to explain to Baba that look, Baba, these guys are called you and they say investment product, AI something, something. I like Baba, they're just. They're just trying to. Bubble you. They're just trying to bubble you. That is not any AI. Nothing that even before the advent of AI people had already been using algorithms or bots to place market trades. So I have to tell him about this one is nothing new so. Don't be.
Smiling that they mentioned AI. No, don't you know, you get yourself an advisor, then you look at the investment opportunity on the strengths and the weakness of it. What are they investing in? How has the fund been growing from year to year, blah, blah, blah, stuff like that. So I told him, Baba don't get carried away because they say AI, no AI nothing. There are some of you who are running around in the wealth creation space and as people are doing because you know that Baba is old, mommy is old.
You now say mommy AIAI don't now be thinking OK, I need to put my money in this investment. Stop this. Please stop this. You collect daddy's money, you collect mommy's money. You forget that mommy and daddy have children. And for those of us who feel. Like our parents have been taken advantage of. How do you think we feel? How do you think we feel? Till today, you still hear me when I'm talking about MLM multi level marketing because I was rubbish that went down with my old man.
Till today, I'm still bitter about that thing and lots of Nigerians are still bitter about what some of our some of our parents suffered at the hand of multi level marketers. That's the reason why any multi level marketing thing in Nigeria immediately people who catch you as 49, even if it's a genuine something, it is because there were actors in your industry who are not forthcoming, who are not open up, who are not radically transparent and who decided to sell a generation of Nigerians,
you know, false promises. So those of us who are. Children who are watching when we grow up, what do you think? When we hear multi MLM, what do you think? It is from. Tianchi in the was in the 90s was Tianchi now Tianchi in the 90s and all these other ones. That is where the problem started. So if you're in the multi level marketing space and you're wondering why can't I get customers, why don't people listen to me? This is why because when multi level marketing was coming into Nigeria after military era with Tianchi and or not you, you guys, you people are not upfront.
So what do you do you? Make small money on our parents. Then when you come and try and sell to us, we look at you and say, you think you'll catch me? Get deep behind me, Satan. So this whole thing of moral integrity in business, it's not just because you know somebody wants to be a child of God. It's also because it's good business. It is good business. Good business if you want to sell multi level marketing, if you want to sell investment products, if you want to sell solar services.
The goal is repeat business. Let somebody buy an investment product from you today. Be happy with you and let the person call you back in two years to say, oh you know what, I'm getting ready to retire. My retirement fund is not much. It's maybe like 500 M. What other products do you have? Even multi level marketing thing you explain very well. The person knows what he's getting involved in. The person gets involved so that.
When the time. Comes and the personal children of age, it is the person who won't call you and say, Oh yeah, I want my children to be involved in this thing. How can we bring them in? Instead of not. Being forthright, not being honest, not being transparent. Then you collect some small. Change and then you bond those bridges. Where do you think your customers are going to come from if you're burning bridges left, right and center and it's been 14 minutes.
Let me just bring this to your close. Sorry. You should not be annoyed. Some of these things, they really, really pepper my spirit so. Yeah, that's it. So thank. You very much for listening.
