Today on the podcast, we're going to be talking about finding customers. We're going to talk about introversion. We're going to talk a little bit about AI. That's artificial intelligence, or as I prefer to call it, augmented intelligence. Also going to talk about audiences. Now, the reason why we're talking about a whole host of all these things is because I've been having a chat with a listener of the podcast and her name is Bertha eBay.
So shout out to Bertha. That's Bertha. And I told her that she has the most unique name I've come across so far because Nigerians don't generally bear these kinds of names. And of course, I remember it because, you know, I used to read comics when I was a kid. And then there was this, what was it called? I can remember it was Justice League. And then there was this lady who was from Apocalypse. That's the same planet as Dark Side.
And her name is Big Bertha, very big girl as a very physical, you understand, like muscular babe. And then her husband, also a superhero was kind of on the smaller side. So that's the reason why I've always remembered Bertha. So I'm not saying Bertha is big or muscular. I'm just saying that that's the reason why I remember the name. So Bertha is a listener to the podcast and she started listening to the series that I had on Investors.
And to be honest, you know, I can't remember the series because I have over 1300 episodes of the podcast so far. And I've spoken about the whole bunch of stuff, you know, investors, stakeholder management, you know, maintaining good relationship with investors, the kind of investors and stakeholders to look out to, you know, all those sorts of things. But anyway, shout out to both eBay. Thank you very much for listening to the podcast and thank you very much for reaching out.
Now, Speaking of reaching out, I give my phone number at the beginning and at the end of every episode precisely because I like to hear from you guys. And it is the interactions that I have with you guys that give me interesting podcast episodes, you know, to come over here and we can talk about. And you know, of course, that's what we're going to be talking about today. A couple of issues that Betha and I have been talking about,
so excuse me. So yeah, phone number. I give my phone number at the beginning and at the end. If you'd like to connect with me, my name is Tavishima Ayede. I'm the host of the podcast and you can call, send me a text message or send me a WhatsApp message on 08064662140. Then if you also enjoy these sorts of things, please subscribe to the podcast on Spotify, YouTube, or Apple or any player of your choice. So forgive me, I'm still recovering from a cold and I
have a radio show I have to do today. So it's going to be really, really interesting. OK, I've already bought my strep Seals, so hopefully I'll be able to make it through unscathed. Oh, by the way, I'm making today's podcast recording at home. And for those of you who listen, you know, today's a Tuesday, The house gets cleaned on Tuesday. So there's going to be noise in the background. So let's get straight into it. Customers, introversion,
artificial intelligence audiences. Why? Because Bertha and I have been talking about all these sorts of things. She's a listener of the podcast, listening for I think the last two months and she started on the series where I was talking about investors and she told me that she's been trying to master some sales skills. And in fact, that's the reason why this podcast exists. Primarily, yes, I talk about business, but I always look at things from a sales and business development perspective because sales or revenue or money is the lifeblood of business.
So if there is no sales, if the heart is not being, being, being, being, being, if there is no money, if there is nothing flowing through the veins of a business, the business will die. It would die a dying death, like dead. So that's the reason why I say sales or money solves a multitude of problems. It is when we have money flowing through the business that we can now say, Oh yeah, branding, What we do about branding or this management challenge, what are we going to do about this challenge?
It's only when the money is moving. It is only when the heartbeat of the business, the sales department, they do Bing, Bing, Bing, Bing that we can start worrying about stuff. So that's the focus of this broadcast. Basically all of us, we should be trying to master sales. Everybody, me, I mean, what do you think I'm doing? I'm trying to master sales. So we should all keep trying to master sales. And that is an incentive for you, Bertha, for other people listening to the podcast to keep on listening because that's what we tried to do over here.
Now, Bertha has a previous background in MLMS that is multi level marketing, but she said she burned out because she started this thing when she was in school. And yeah, you know, I've seen this thing happens happen from time to time. But this is the reason why I always address students in particular on the podcast. I tell you guys from the get go that look, a lot of your classmates, they've come to school to flex, you know, they don't get problem.
They don't have worry. So as far as they're concerned, you know, babes are coming and they think that, you know, they're guys on campus and definitely guys are coming and they know that they're babes on campus. You know, it's not a problem, especially for you boys listening, you know, that's part of the things that make life sweet. So enjoy. But for those of you who have decided that you'll be entrepreneurial in school, just to know that you have to be stronger than your classmates,
you have to because it's not easy. You go to class, you know of course personal runs the you know, you get your heart broken you break somebody's heart, of course you got to do fellowship as well. So you already have a full docket to not go and add business to it. It will be tough, but you can do it don't worry. It's only four years, five years. You can do it, you can do it. And the reason why I try to encourage you students going through this right now is because even if you fail in all these businesses that you started now, because you have tried to do some kind runs in university, by the time you come out, you are stronger than your classmates.
You already have a leg up. You've tried some things, negotiation, sales, marketing, handling yourself, packaging. There are some things that you've already been practicing for four years your classmates have never even thought of. Believe me, this thing pays mad dividends. For those of you who listen to the podcast, you remember when I was in Grand Square just chilling there, sort of my old classmates, I was like, Francis,
what's up now? Long time, have you been blah, blah, blah. You know, because back in uni, her and her boyfriend at the time, you know, do I doing one or two things, you know, show out my business and this sort of thing and I'm like, oh, now what brings you to Abuja? Because I know she was not based in Abuja says, oh, now I'm just checking up on some of my clients that I supplied chicken, blah, blah, blah. Really. She said, yeah, this is my brand.
I say, hey, you supply to Grand Square. She say yes. Now I also supply to blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. She mentioned a couple of places and I would just go talking, you know, family life, this, this, this, that, that, that, you know, just move, talk. Believe me, these things make a difference. So from doing shawarma business, shawarma, suya, small, small things like that in school, that's the thing that gives you the gumption that by the time you leave school, all your classmates define work.
You, you've already started supplying chicken to big, big shops in Abuja, up and down and in Lagos. That's how it starts. That's how it starts. So Bertha, you've left university, you're starting off a new knife. Now, excuse me, moving to Lagos. So excuse me. So it is my prayer and the prayer of other people listening to this podcast that God will remain with you and he will guide you into your new endeavors. But for the rest of you who are in school, I know it's not easy,
but just keep on, keep on. Just just hanging there, hanging there. So both has previous background multi level marketing. Yeah, but she burnt out. But still it's not a bad thing because she has gotten some experience. Now you who are currently in university right now and you're not doing anything, I mean, of course you're, excuse me, you're trying to pass your exams and that's a good thing to do. But you know, Bertha has learned one of two things, one or two things that you haven't.
But anyway, it's not as if you should not go and rush and start a business everything in due time. So at your own pace. So Bertha started off in skin care and beauty. And why did I remember that? OK, so I remember that because in yesterday's podcast episode, I spoke about how those of you in the beauty and the skin care space, because they teach you people to sell with emotions, you know, be excited, be enthusiastic. And so yesterday when I was talking about the importance of having sales systems.
So for those of you in the beauty and skin care space, it really is important that you learn how to understand value and you learn how to have you sell with systems instead of selling with emotions. So there is no part in, there's no reason for me to rehash the whole thing because I was just at this podcast episode and I think it was about 20 or maybe 30 minutes. So if you want to hear about how you can sell, have a systems based way to sell instead of trying to sell using emotions.
Then when you're done listening to this episode, just get back, listen to another one and you'll get some good stuff from there. Then Betha also mentioned that she wants to get into luxury shopping. She also has a travel agency and she's trying to upgrade because upgrade her audience because you know, she started this MLM thing in school and she's now trying to move to an audience that has greater purchasing power. Because those of you who start businesses in university, you know, you're, you know, you're with a student community and you know, the thing with students is, you know, money, not today,
if you understand what I mean. They have limited purchasing power. So now that she's coming out of university, she's trying to upgrade and stop dealing with broker sobs. You know, it wants to do people that have money and it's good. It's good. So it's not as if we're despising the student market, but it's just one of those things that eventually you guys to step up your clientele. In fact, I advise people that reach our clientele, I prefer it because time will pass 24 hours is still going to pass.
I think you're better off using the 24 hours that you have to serve a richer client base because you know any which way the time is passing anyway. Also, I've discovered that people with more disposable income, they have less hassles. At first I used to use it to judge, you know, broke people harshly. But I just thought about it. When somebody is broke, like really, really broke. And then they give you their last 150K and you know, they procure a service from you for them.
Now 150K is only 150 K they have and that's the reason why they would die on your neck and they will squeeze your neck until they get every last ounce of value from it. Because for some people 150K is quite a bit of cash. But then when you start dealing with richer clientele, somebody just drove 500K casual or you like that and it's not as if they want to kill you, you know, it's just one of those things. So when you find audiences or customers with greater purchasing power usually comes with less hassles as well.
In fact, I remember my wedding photography days. Remember the first time I told a customer, sorry, I apologize because how goods were delayed in Lagos because the customs officials had just gone on strike back then. And she was like, oh, it's OK. Listen, the news, I understand. And in my mind I was like, so Nigerians, they hear sorry, like I was really, really tripped, you know? But it's just one of those things, like I said, if you collect 150K from somebody who is broke, that's his last whatever.
And the person who shouted you and say, what do you mean that my goods are delayed in customs. You promised me this diseases, you had better social person. We shout, you know, don't be angry. The guys broke, that's why. But therefore people that have money. So that's OK. It's in the news. We know that this thing is happening. So yeah. So don't judge better and don't judge me. If you can find richer clientele, people with greater purchasing power is worth it.
If you can, it's worth the move. But the reason why I'm making today's podcast episode is this, if you've noticed now with Bertha, we've spoken about a couple of things. Abby, we're talking about travel agency, OK? She also mentioned that she's doing some real estate moves. Then we've spoken about multi level marketing and we've spoken about luxury shopping. There are some of you who reach out to me. You want some helpful advice about what to do next?
Well, there are some of you that I can't help you because to be honest there, let's use this one as a case study. Travel agency, real estate, multi level marketing, luxury shopping. Who's the ICPICP is ideal customer profile. That means the audience that we're trying to target the people that we're trying to run after. If you noticed, the target audience for travel is different from the target audience for real estate.
The target audience audience for real estate is different than the audience for multi level marketing. And the audience for that is different from luxury shopping. So from a practical point of view now, because on this podcast, you know that I don't talk theory, I only talk practice. We only have 8 hours in a day. So you wake up today on the Tuesday morning and if truly, truly, you want to run travel agency, real estate, multi level marketing and luxury shopping via today on a Tuesday with the 8 hours that you have to work from 9:00 until around that time, maybe four or five.
You know when your boyfriend comes over, what are you going to do? Who are you going to call? What kind of content are you going to produce? Which meetings are you going to schedule? What kind of advertising are you going to run? Pick which one will you do today? Of course it's overwhelming. Of course you'll be overwhelmed by the level of work that lies before you because phone calls. How many meaningful calls can you make today that will cover travel, real estate, multi level marketing and luxury shopping?
OK, creating content. You want to create content on LinkedIn or you want to create content on Instagram? How much content can you create that will cover travel and real estate? A multi level marketing at their luxury shopping OK meetings? Let's say you're able to schedule a couple of meetings now, even for those of us who are based in Abuja where traffic is not really bad. You have 4 businesses, travel, real estate, multi level marketing, luxury shopping.
How many meetings can you schedule today because you have to drive back and forth. Then advertising campaign, you have limited resources available. Where are you going to advertise? The travel agency, the real estate agency, the multi level marketing or your luxury shopping business? Some of you don't like hearing this, but honestly, you guys to pick one, you're really not helping yourself. I've made lots of podcast episodes where I've spoken about how why are they called now serial entrepreneurs.
Serial entrepreneurs don't build multiple businesses at a time. They build one business first. When that one is standing, they move. When the business 2 is standing, they move. Business 3 is standing, they move. And that is the reason why your favorite entrepreneurs have 456 businesses. They didn't build all 5 or 6 at the same time. Pick one, gain traction, then move. Is the travel agency doing very well or good? In fact, you can even take profits from the travel agency and start using it to acquire real estate.
Is the real estate business really moving and you're making lots of good contacts. OK, maybe some of those contacts cannot be part of your multi level marketing ideas, your multi level mark level marketing. Is that really popping off? Is it a good level of clientele? Who knows? You can even start doing luxury shopping now to meet their other needs as well. But to be running four of them at the same time, it's hard. And most of us want to have a life.
So Bertha, she never married. So definitely that means she want to date, she want to flex, she want to relax, you want to watch the STV, you know, stuff like that. If you don't have a life at all, no problem. You don't go to church, you don't watch TV, you don't you know yours, you just wake up and they also from sunup to sundown here, no problem. Maybe you stand a chance. Or for the average person, please pick one. Make life easy for yourself.
So that's all reasons why I'm making today's episode now. Sometimes it's hard to pick because you love travel, you love real estate, you love MLM, love luxury shopping. I understand. So one of the yardsticks that we use traditionally in sales and business development is traction. Which one has traction? Which one is already bringing home some money? Which one is already bringing some coins? Which one is already making some progress?
Take that one and start with that one. Whichever one that has traction, start there because remember, money solves a multitude of problems. So if you're gaining traction on one, making money from one, that money is affording you revenue is affording you options, is affording you time that you can now go and spend elsewhere. So start with the one that has traction. Then there's some other issues that came up in our conversation.
OK, Bertha, she mentions that she's young and introverted. You should never say a lady's age, so I'm not going to say how young she is, but yet she's on the young side and she claims to be introverted. Please note that I said she claims. The reason why I say she claims is because I sincerely doubt it. And for some reason, those of you who reach out to me eventually, you mentioned that you're introverted. I seriously doubt it.
First of all, the meaning of introversion that people use is wrong. But let's stick to the Niger meaning, which is, you know, whether you're outgoing or whatever, people who are, who have a problem or who are not outgoing, you know what they don't do? Listen carefully. Those people do not start businesses. So if you have started some businesses, just like in Bertha's case, she has thousands of contacts on her phones. That's what the MLM and through Dash was able to get hundreds of buyers for the MLM business.
If you've been able to do that, then my dear friend, my dear Bethan, you are not introverted in the Niger sense. Yes, you didn't go out and have meetings, you didn't go for party and everything, but you put up your phone by yourself, started messaging thousands of strangers and from there you got hundreds of customers and you tell yourself that you're introverted. Come on now and there may know of you that I meet like that or I'm introverted.
I'm introverted and I told them, look, you don't have problems. You think you're introverted because it's hard. The business is hard. So it's normal. I know everybody likes talking to people, so it's it's normal business is introverted. It's just that the path we have chosen is difficult. The easy thing to do is look for a nice job. You know, if you're you graduate first class in accounting, you go and get an accounting job.
You show up to the office, you do your work. At the end of the day, you collect your salary 400K. That's the easier path. But deciding that even though you graduated first class, you use your own 2 left leg be running up and down. You say you're going to build accounting agency, man, you've picked a hard path. You've picked a very, very hard path. So it's not that you're introverted, no, it's just are running a business.
It's hard. That's it. You don't have a problem and please, please, please, please Bertha and other people who reach out to me. This is a Nigerian problem and an American problem. Stop self diagnosing yourself. All these things, OCD, obsessive compulsive disorder, somebody will say I have OCD. Who told you that you have OCDOCD is a clinical diagnosis. There are doctors. I be psychologists, I be psychiatrists who will diagnose you.
Stop diagnosing yourself. I'm dyslexic who told you I have OCD who told you I'm introverted? Who told you I have father wound mother wounds? I have post traumatic PTSD, post traumatic stress disorder who told you? Stop listening to podcasts and diagnosing yourself #1 there's risk of misdiagnosis. Maybe you have a problem, but you get you give yourself the wrong diagnosis and you're treating the wrong thing. Who told you go and see a doctor?
Sometimes there's nothing wrong with any of you and you're giving yourself some limiting beliefs. I've told you guys on the podcast how as a younger man, I thought I was depressed. I went to go and talk to a doctor and the doctor told me that young man, you don't have problem. And I say, how do you know I'm not depressed? And the guy gave me a metaphor. He said, you see dark clouds, Abby. I say yes. I see dark clouds.
And he said, does the sunrise? I say, yes, now the sun rises. And then he said very good for people who are clinically depressed. The sun never rises. Are my eyes open? I say, what is that? I knew that people are suffering in this world. I say, eh, there are some people that for them the sun never rises, that this dark cloud that I'm feeling now that that's how they live their life. Monday, dark cloud, Tuesday, dark cloud, Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, dark cloud. And then next week you continue again, dark cloud. It was then I was able to appreciate that what I was going through was just the normal, normal mood swings of a young teenage boy. School stress, family matter, stress, boyfriend, girlfriend matter, stress. And I say, oh, I'm depressed. It was just a normal part of life. And now I have a lot of empathy, a lot of understanding. And in fact, my mind goes out to people and I pray for people who are clinically depressed because I could not believe that there are some people that the cloud never rises.
But the reason why I know that I was not depressed was because I spoke to a doctor. I thought I am depressed. I went to go and see a doctor and I said doctor. He said yes. I said, doctor, help me. I beg, I'm depressed, I won't die. And then we had the conversation and I realized that there was no problem. Go and talk to a doctor. Please stop Americans and Nigerians, stop self diagnosing. Please. All these things are clinical diagnosis.
We have not been trained in the field. Even for those people who have been trained in the field, they are not allowed to diagnose themselves. So if I was a medical doctor and I was a psychiatrist, I am not allowed to diagnose myself. Say I did get depression or that I have OCD, it is another of my colleague that would to me that boss, this is the level now. So the team be they're the ones that would diagnose me. So please stop diagnosing yourselves.
And some of you are giving yourself some limiting beliefs. So I thought I was a depressed, introverted somebody. Meanwhile I'm not. It's just I was a teenager, hormones was everywhere, that's all. So stop diagnosing yourself. Go and see a doctor. Which doctor should you see? It's very simple. Go to your normal regular hospital, talk to that doctor. That doctor doesn't have the skills to diagnose you, but they know who to refer you to.
Go and talk to that regular doctor first. So like that doctor that I spoke to, if he thought I was depressed, he would have said, oh, you know what? Come back on Thursday. My colleague who is around, who is a clinical blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, he's the person you should talk to. I would have come back and I would have spoken to somebody else. So go and see your regular doctor or go to any General Hospital in Nigeria.
When I was a young boy, they used to be called general hospitals. I've been told now that they're not called general, general hospitals anymore. So I'm not sure what they're called now. Forgive me. But The thing is, there's a General Hospital everywhere in Abuja is in Area 8, Abu, Area 8 near the Catholic Cathedral in Makudi, It's where is it again? There's one in my way. There's one everywhere, every single General Hospital, they have a psychiat department.
They may not have too many doctors there, but they have a department that deals with mental health issues. So if you suspect you're going through any of these things, you have OCD, you are clinically depressed, you're introverted, you're whatever, go there, pay for consultation. It's not expensive. The time I did my own, well it was by force because Rd. safety because they saw me driving one way, they seized my car. They said I have mental issue that I should go and see Psychea.
So back then it was 4K that I paid right now let's assume that the cost has doubled, so let's or tripled. So let's say you pay 12K15 K excuse me but the consultation is open for I think 2 weeks in General Hospital is 2 weeks. You can go there and you can have as many conversations as possible. If you suspect you're having issues, please go and see a professional. Go talk to a doctor so that they will diagnose you. And if there's a problem, don't start giving you proper treatment.
Because some of you you say you're you're clinically depressed, but then you're trying to motivate yourself. Motivate yourself to what if there's a serious problem, will you go and see a doctor and get this thing handled so that the doctor will start giving you medication or giving you the proper prescribe the proper sorry, forgive me. You know one of my classmates committed suicide over these things. So it's something I get very passionate about when I hear people over diagnosing or misdiagnosing.
If you suspect there's a problem, go and speak to a professional. Let them give you the proper treatment. If you have OCD, don't assume that you can kill yourself. If you're introverted and is a problem, don't assume you can kill yourself. If you have depression or you think you have depression and it's a problem, don't. Don't think you can kill yourself. Please. It's not by listening to podcasts and doing positive self talk.
Go on and talk to a professional please. There are people who die over these things. I told you that one of my classmates drank sniper. We all thought he was OK. That's how one day we just said that you know the guy don't buy. So what thing happened is he drank sniper Anyway, Shawn, just trying to let you guys know that doctors are available. All right, if you live far from a General Hospital, then just try mental health and physical health.
You know all join. Just try. I beg go and get yourself checked out. Then Betha also talking about how she's young. I just want you guys to know that youth is an advantage. It's an advantage. Some of you think it's a disadvantage. The fact that you're 18192426 is not a bad thing. Or I know some people will look at you like what do you know? But look, turn it to your advantage. There's not anything you can do if you're 19.
You think it's a disadvantage. What are you going to do? Wait until you're 30 before you start? No, just start. It's an advantage. If somebody says you're too young, you say yes, yes I am. I'm young because I'm young. I have energy, I have enthusiasm. Because of that, I'll be able to run around and I'll be able to die on top your matter. That's the reason why I deserve your business. All the other people that are talking to, they are 4050 years old.
They are old and they have other clients. They'll look at you as a small somebody. Me, I'm 19 and I'm new in the business. I have energy, I have him. I'm here for you, Sir. That is the reason why I deserve your money, Madam. That's the reason why I deserve your money. That's the reason why I deserve your business. It's an advantage. Do it as an advantage because there's nothing else you can do. It's not as if you can sit down and wait until you're 30 before you start.
So you're 19. You started, my friend. Frame your youth as an advantage. You have energy, you have enthusiasm. You're not jaded. You're new. You have fresh lens, you have a modern take. Whichever way frame, your youth has an advantage. Don't let your youth hold you back. And when you're old is the same thing. Use your old age as an advantage. You say yes, I'm 60 years old. By the way, I'm not 60. I'm not that old. I'm still a very young man.
When you get to 60, you say yes, I'm 60 years old and I've been in the business for 45 years. I have the benefit of four decades of experience with me because of that. We understand the landscape. We understand this and this and that and that. Because I'm 60 and I'm the one who deserves your business. Because I've been around the world and I I know where everything is. We're the ones that can sort you out. So if you're old, it's an advantage.
If you're young, it's an advantage. The reason why I should look at it as an advantage is because there's nothing you can do to change that. If you're 60, there's nothing you will do that will make you 30. Again, if you're 19, there was nothing that will make you 25 overnight. So it's an advantage. So you remember that Bertha and I were talking about, you know, upscaling, looking for new people, new audiences. And she says that the money where she defined now billionaires and billionaires hold that money.
I understand. I feel you cause me to the money where they find now billionaires is in their pocket. I want to reach inside that pocket. I removed that money. I said, don't go to where are you, give me that money and I'll remove the money from his pocket. But you're looking for bigger audiences or trying to upscale. Remember that is business. Business is a value for value. Something you provide value, you give value, you provide value,
then you extract value. So as you're looking for billionaires and millionaires, just know that we're also thinking about the kind of value that we're going to be providing to these people. That's all justify for me to call down with and say, hey, D money, you know, Dangote now, so D say D money, what's up Now you get this thing, blah, blah, blah. By the time we discuss, we'll see how we can grow his bottom line. I saw in exchange, just give me 500 M.
So that's how it works. Provide value, then you extract value. What ideas? I have absolutely no idea that is the reason why artificial intelligence tools or augmented intelligence tools have been invented. They are very good for ideation, coming up with ideas, play around with these things, create a prompt and put it in. I'm a 35 year old young female, used to be in so. So by the way, Bertha is not 35. She's still fresh, much younger than that.
For those of you who define wife. So what was that? So I'm a 35 year old female business also. So business interests like this, business interests like that. I've tried this in the past, I've tried that. I want to upscale, find a new audience. Looking at high net worth individuals, probably millionaires or billionaires, you know. What kind of services can I provide? Yeah. What kind of services can I provide? What kind of business ideas?
What kind of agencies can I build? You know, just fool around random prompts like you don't have anything doing. Just turn off the STV, pick up your phone. Just stop fooling around with these things. Some ideas will make sense. Ignore them. Some ideas make sense. Take them, apply them. Start working with them. You never know. Then, Betha. She also lost access to her social media accounts. Unfortunately, it happens. Some people get blocked, some people hack your account.
It happens. Now what do you do? We can't just stay there and be moping. Now you start again. Everybody starts from zero. So right now on this podcast, I have over 3500 subscribers on Spotify alone. I didn't start with 3005, I started with 0. Everybody starts from zero. You've lost your social media. Don't cry. You start again but now you start with some small sense. The thing is when you were starting the first time, you started with 0, you had 0
followers, 0 whatever and you also had zero contacts because you are new in business. Now The thing is, now that you've been doing business for four or five years, this is your birthday situation. You might be starting from zero from social media wise, but The thing is you have been doing business for the past five years. You have now built up some contacts as you start again from zero. What you do is you're going to be calling people every day,
call them maybe in 10-10 batches of 10/10 and then start the outreach all over. Hello. So, so, so and so Remember Me? We did business before. How you doing, how the kids, how family, blah, blah, blah. Oh, by the way, there's been some changes in my business. Just in case you're looking for so, so, and so that handle is not active anymore. This is the new handle or this is the new business. This is what I do. You see, you're taking advantage of previous contacts now.
So you start again from zero, but now you'll be calling up people every day. Call them a 55 every day, 10/10 every day. So that's how you do it. It's a nice way to restart. So sorry for those people who it has happened to, but what will you do? OK, well, there's another option. You can write to Facebook, write to Instagram, tell them I've been the platform of this, of that, and then you do the whole customer care thing.
Yeah, you can do that. There's one of my colleagues who still is in the event planning business. So that's what she did. It took about a month, but she got her handle back. So you can be doing it side by side. Anyway, the options is not always a tragedy when you lose your social media account, then let's see what else. Anyway, we spoke about a whole bunch of stuff and whenever you guys reach out, you know, this is part of the pleasure that I
have in chatting with you guys and interacting with people who are in different stages of life and trying to navigate different things. So there's plenty of things to talk about, but my biggest suggestion or my biggest rant is this, especially for those of you who consider yourselves to be multi hyphenates or, you know, serial entrepreneurs, creative people or whatever. Sales one O 1. Let's pretend that we're in a university and I'm teaching a course.
Sales one O 1. Sales one O 1 begins with targeting. Are you targeting the right persona? Are you targeting the right audience? Are you targeting the might, the right market segment? Are you doing the right revenue generating activities? Anything that is sales related, sales one O 1 will always start with your targeting. So you guys to pick one, you can't build a business by chasing 4 personas at the same time. It will hard you.
You can't be chasing 6 audiences at the same time. You go hard you. You can't start off by chasing 10 market segments in the beginning. Why are you making life difficult for yourself? Then it comes to the daily daily tactics, the daily execution. If you're trying to do revenue generating activities like phone calls, meetings, advertising, you know, whatever, but then you're trying to do that across 5 or 6 different audiences and maybe to two different activities in a day, like you're giving yourself stress.
Business is hard enough as it is. I beg everybody, pick one. When that one stands, move on. When the second one stands, move on. That's why I become a serial entrepreneur. So pick one. However, I told her if you insist on everything because there's one guy who took up my challenge and he was able to find a way to tie everything through for all his different ideas. We found our shot that everything revolves around the home.
So that's why he was able to sell all his things at the same time. So if it is painting the outside of the building, he can do that. Painting the inside of the building, he can do that. Interior decor, you know he can do that. If it is printing for Flyers, business purpose, he can do that. So we found the unifying factor, or rather he found because I'm not going to go through all that work, especially if you're not paying me.
And that's the reason why we have AI tools. So what you do if you're in her own case, you also like real estate, skin care, travel agency, luxury shopping and you're trying to reach out to clientele who are high net worth individuals, millionaires, billionaires. No problem. Prompt it in AI, you say? I'm a Nigerian boy aged 26 and I like the real estate business, skin care. I have a travel agency and I do luxury shopping.
Is there any audience overlap with these different products, with these different services, these different agencies? Is there any audience overlap? And what kind of execution strategy would you recommend that can help me reach all these audiences at the same time? That's one prompt. Send it and I see what charge EPT or Google Gemini or whatever has to say. Because to be honest, I'm not that smart. Although if you pay me, OK, I'll sit down.
Let's say we can solve that problem. But honestly, I'm not that smart. And to be frank, I keep saying it today. Ideas are cheap. Execution is what's going to make you thrive. And that's one reason why I share ideas really, because ideas are cheap, ideas are free. It's not safe if I don't give you the answer. It's not as if you can't find it using an AI tool. You can where execution. That is what people pay me for. So if your system must do all of them, I'll give you the answer.
Go and use AI tool, run the search, see what it says, and then get in touch with me so I can come and make a podcast episode and tell people that, oh, you know what? This is 1 angle that I didn't consider. Like that guy who I thought was doing too much. He found the unifying factor that everything is around the home and everything is around paint. But if you only take the old school approach, the old school approach, which is the easier approach?
Just pick one and you should be. All right. So that's it. And that's all for today. Thank you very much for lending me your ears.
